Beyond this, however, it is an area rich in industrial archaeology based upon the working of limestone, slate, iron ores and building stone which underpinned the prosperity of Watchet as a port. The localities chosen for this field meeting posed some of the questions raised by the local outcrops for discussion by the members, without necessarily answering them; that remains for future visits. 收起<<
